Legal and Ethical Governance

This self-paced 8-hour fully online course includes both theoretical and practical approaches to ethical issues commonly encountered by public officials and employees, with a particular emphasis on Florida law.

This course features online interactive scenarios related to ethical decision-making, as well as a description of the requirements of the Florida Sunshine and Public Records laws and the State and Federal laws on bribery. Participants will receive valuable guidance on handling ethical dilemmas, as well as a grounding on some of the important legal standards governing the conduct of public servants. The goal of this course is for learners to have a better understanding of the commitment it takes to present oneself as an ethical and honest public servant.
